Concert Review: D4vd Withered World Tour in Cleveland, OH

Review & Photos by Georgia Curtis

From the second I stepped into the Agora Theatre in Cleveland around 7:30 pm—30 minutes before the show started—I knew it was going to be a great night. The vibes were 100% there. No doubt about it.

From the buzzing chatter around the theatre to the eclectic mix of decked-out fans as the balcony and floor space filled in, the atmosphere instantly felt warm and inviting. I felt as if I could be close friends with every single one of these people… and that was before the music even started.

As Laundry Day opened, I must admit I hadn’t heard of them prior… but now I’m sold. The group’s vibey rock energy and outstanding vocals and talent was incredibly clear. As they played “June,” they mentioned that D4vd came in the room singing their song to them the first time they met… and then he asked them to come on tour with him. Their set wrapped around 8:30 pm, leaving the crowd hyped and waiting in anticipation for more.

And then there was D4vd. He hit the stage around 9:00 pm, with perfect vocals and energy from the start. He came out jumping and dancing as if we were all at a party with something to celebrate… and the crowd felt it too. Quickly he moved through the songs while hyping up the crowd from top hits, to banter, to even a Labubu giveaway.

His set list went as follows:

  1. What Are You Waiting For

  2. Take Me to the Sun

  3. Sky

  4. Friend Again

  5. Backstreet Girl

  6. Sleep Well

  7. You and I

  8. WORTHLESS

  9. Here With Me (paused & restarted from the top after a fan injury… he also tossed 5–6 water bottles into the crowd).

  10. This Is How It Feels (fan challenge moment… loudest singer got a Labubu).

  11. Crashing

  12. Where’d It Go Wrong?

  13. The Bridge

  14. One More Dance

  15. Is This Really Love?

  16. Feel It

  17. Always Love (also restarted mid-song after another fan incident)

  18. Leave Her

  19. My House Is Not a Home

  20. Afterlife (reflective outro, he framed it as the end of this album chapter and the beginning of his new deluxe album coming with 15 new songs)

  21. Romantic Homicide (of course, the closer)

This night wasn’t just fun… it will forever be an amazing memory. D4vd closed with Romantic Homicide and had the whole crowd singing their hearts out, just after inspiring the crowd with his humble story of how he started with Apple headphones and his sister’s closet for a studio. He encouraged the crowd that while it took a lot of work, anyone who has a passion for music can start from scratch, and you never know where it might lead… He also slipped into a funny Elmo voice while saying “Elmo says thank you so much for coming to the Withered Tour.”

My reply? “Thank you D4vd for coming to Cleveland.”
