Concert Review: Demi Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep Tour

Review & Photos by Yising Kao

Demi Lovato’s Anaheim show of the It’s Not That Deep Tour was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been a fan of her ever since Camp Rock, which was released in 2008 and I always love going to her shows!

Lovato opened up strong with “Fast” off of her latest album It’s Not That Deep. Getting to hear her new songs live was a breathtaking experience, you couldn’t deny all the electric energy in the room. Lovato owned the stage with powerful choreography with her talented dancers, and her vocals were incredibly soulful and expressive. One thing about Demi Lovato is that she knows how to put on a fierce performance where everyone is dancing nonstop and singing the lyrics to every song.

Lovato also performed her timeless hits from her other albums, such as “Heart Attack,” “Confident,” and “Give Your Heart A Break.” My favorite was when she sang “Skyscraper.” This song is so special and heartfelt, and I felt so nostalgic listening to her perform her old songs that will forever be legendary. For the surprise song, she sang “For You” for the first time since 2017, off of her album Confident. Her vocal range is insane and she hit every high note in every song.

I’m so thankful Demi Lovato is still making music and touring. I’ll always be a fan of her and I’m proud of what she has accomplished over the years.
