Concert Review: HUMBE - Dueño del Cielo Tour at The Wiltern in Los Angeles
Review & Photos by Monica Soriano
On April 11, 2026, HUMBE ended the U.S. portion of his tour with a second sold out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. We had the opportunity to attend and experience the energy in the room shifting with every song.
Mexican singer HUMBE has won the heart of his home country and now has enchanted the U.S. - soon it will be the world! He is known for his smooth penmanship, emotionally driven performances and artistic storytelling. The entire show was a story or rather a personal experience being told. He performed a combination of some of his most popular songs and new tracks from his latest album Dueño del Cielo.
His entrance was much anticipated by the fans, the screaming echoed in the room. As the lights dimmed the excitement increased and then he appeared. He wore a sparkly jean two piece set that reflected the lights surrounding the stage, underneath he wore a black tee, black gloves, shades and his signature oversized boots that were a staple during this tour.
The audience sang along to every song but went wild for songs like “Kintsugi”, “El Poeta”, “sanvalentín:(”, and “REM”. An extremely touching part of the show was when HUMBE sang “Murallas” followed by “mamá”. The crowd turned their phone lights on and enjoyed the emotional songs. There was a brief break in which a black and white video, part of a short film for this tour, played on the screen. It was a conversation between HUMBE and his therapist (played by actress Karla Souza). It allowed viewers into a personal space of anxious thoughts and self doubt.
The second half of the show had fans singing along to songs “TSQ”, “Esencia”, “Dueño del Cielo”, “Novatos”, “Dieznoches”, “Te Lo Prometo”, “Amor de Cine”, “VEGAS” and many more. Standouts from the second half were his popular and sentimental songs “fantasmas” and “Morfina”. At the end, another black and white video clip played closing the therapist session/short film. In this video, the conversation revolves around what “Dueño del Cielo” or in English, “Owner of The Sky” / “Master of The Sky,” means. It dives into finding comfort in the sky, maintaining hope, owning our humanity and moving with resilience.
Overall, HUMBE moves fluidly, speaks with sincerity, and puts on a fantastic show. There were genuine moments of him connecting with the crowd, even having to start a song over because he couldn’t contain his laughter over a comment someone made. There were times in which the dancers would look at each other in a cheeky and fun way. It didn’t feel performative but instead, joyful. When peeking behind the curtain from a certain angle, even the man playing the keyboard could be seen fully immersed into the show.
We look forward to his future tours, projects and seeing his stage continue to grow. He is certainly an artist worth keeping an eye on. Congratulations on closing out the U.S. leg of the tour to HUMBE and his team!
