Hillary Anne is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter from Ivory-Coast and her main genre is pop/pop-rock. She is inspired by artists from past decades such as The runaways and Iggy Pop. However my music and lyrics are influenced by more contemporary artists and bands such as The Neighbourhood, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey.
Hillary Anne on Supergirls:
"Having written the song myself, I had a clear idea of the sound I was going for which is upbeat, dark and dance-ish. During the writing process, what I had in mind was a response to the song 'The Boys Are Back in Town' by Thin Lizzy. The song is about pre-coronavirus time and portrays girls having fun and being young & reckless. "
"As an artist, I strongly believe in breaking the barriers of culture or even race associated music genres. I think music is universal and anyone, no matter what their skin colour is should be able to make the music they want without being judged."
