On the final night of the Entre Dos Mundos Tour, Ambar Lucid graced Baby’s All Right with her presence. Even without Maye, the co-headliner, performing, Judith and Ambar held down the show in a way that didn’t take away from anyone’s enjoyment.
Judith opened the show beside a Mexican flag and played songs that feature genres from bachata to flamenco. Someone in the audience yelled out “WEPA,” a Latin term used to express extreme joy, setting the tone for her set. “DIVA” definitely stood out to me, a track with flows reminiscent of Barcelonan rapper Bb trickz but an overall essence that is uniquely Judith’s. One of my favorite moments of the night was hearing “TUSI” live. It’s an upbeat number with a Mariachi trumpet solo and fluctuating beats that keep you on your toes. Although there were some sound issues at the start, Judith was able to make a mark on the crowd by sharing the meanings behind her music and bringing us energy.

After hearing some Karol G and Rauw Alejandro in between sets, Ambar came on and started off with songs from her latest album, El Jardín de Lágrimas. Before performing “6am”, she talked a bit about how difficult it is to feel romantic grief. She also played two unreleased songs – “In My Head” and “Spins Again.” Ambar likes to reference gardens in her music, and like a gardener tending to plants, her music nurtures listeners experiencing heartbreak and melancholy. “Head Down” was released six years ago and feels more relevant than ever: “The universe is screaming in desperatе need of healing / The love wе choose not to feed will lead us to our own defeat”
The night ended with a beautiful rendition of “A Letter to My Younger Self” sung with Ambar’s little sister. Ambar admitted to being tired, and while that was somewhat noticeable, she still delivered a powerful performance and proved that she deserves to be on people’s radars.
